We were fine with that because it gave the place a safe feeling. Several security vehicles passed by the first day. We were escorted by the casino shuttle to a lot that the driver said all the RV folks park at, we were very happy with the customer service. The shuttle driver even showed me how we would be by the security cameras on the light poles, for added security( I gave him $10 for helping us and looking out for us).We were the only RV in the massive empty parking lot a quarter mile from the casino. The MGM Northfield is NOT an RV friendly casinos. Most times more than one RV is in the lot. Every casino we had been to welcomed us with open arms and invited us to park in specific parking lots while visiting overnight or for several days sometimes. We are Mlife, Caesars and Hollywood reward members. The MGM was formally the Hardrocksino which had great reviews from past RVers that stayed there. We use the Casino Camper website to search for casinos in areas we will be passing through. One of the things we enjoy is visiting casinos around the nation. The reason I mentioned the year of our vehicles is to demonstrate we are not homeless squatters looking for parking lots to sleep in. We travel all over the US in a 2017 Newmar motorhome towing a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee exploring new areas, cities, National parks, wildlife refuges around the country.
